Church service

Please note that all church services will now be from 9:30 to 10:30 each week. 

• Fallowfield United Church - June 9 and 16, 9:30 am

• Merivale United Church - June 23 and 30, 9:30 am

The Meditation Group meets on Thursdays at 10am at Merivale.

Donations are always needed at many local charities. Here are some we are working with.

Shelter Oshki Kizis 

The Shelter Oshki Kizis which has 25 beds for Indigenous women and children fleeing violence. They are supported by Miinwaashin Lodge. 

They need sample size tooth pastes etc. if possible. They also require new socks, underwear, and hygiene items. They do not always require full size items as this is a temporary place for them to stay.

• If people prefer to make monetary donations they may do so payable to: Minwaashin Lodge and put on the memo line: Shelter Oshki Kizis and that way the money will go to the shelter.

• Also, if they purchase items and  they provide their receipts to me, they can use them as well  at income tax time as receipts will be provided. 

• Best to add your name and address on the receipt. I can send along to my contact. 

Sue is collecting the donations.

• Food Banks - We continue to support the local food banks with nonperishable goods. 

• Toiletries- We are also collecting toiletries for the Elizabeth Fry Society and for Indigenous Women  

• Eyeglasses - The Richmond Lions Club is collecting used eyeglasses for adults and children, all ages. These can be left at the back of both sanctuaries. For more info contact Barb Fraser (F)
