Tai Chi meet Thursday 11:00 – 12:00

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise system that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both the body and mind. It is taught by Jane Ho who has taught in Ottawa for over 15 years and competed in international level tai chi competitions in Canada. We gather as an informal group in comfortable clothing and running shoes. No special attire is required. All ages can attend, men and women, and chair tai chi is possible for those who wish.

There is no fee, however we like to donate towards Jane’s expenses as a thank you for her generous contribution. Did you know that in Tai chi, one places the tongue on the roof of the mouth? Curious? Come and find out why. This is a worthwhile hour and a half each week, resulting in an overall feeling of well-being and relaxation. Tai chi’s attributes include muscle toning and strengthening as well as heightened coordination and balance. One can’t help but wander away feeling refreshed and revitalized.
