A highlight of life at Merivale United Church is the mid-week gathering of the Merivale Quilters in the Church Hall. They have been meeting on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - noon since 1984, to plan and prepare quilt tops, and then to hand-quilt them. There is lots of conversation, laughter, and fellowship while working around the quilt frames. Both experienced and new quilters are welcomed, as well as visitors interested in the 'art'.
